Sadly the footpath conditions are universally awful and so I am having to pick routes quite carefully and I am going to places taht I would not have previously considered. I think country pubs are really struggling now in the same way that village shops have done for many years. As you say it is sad to see so many go to the wall.

Have a good week and thanks for checking in.

Regards
PaulPaul Willishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06069887969192184610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1030307825878445428.post-40021372911452952142012-12-04T20:19:06.918+00:002012-12-04T20:19:06.918+00:00Hi PaulIt looks like you had good weather and litt...Hi Paul

It looks like you had good weather and little wind judging by the blue skies and the stillness of the river.

It's sad to see all these old pubs closing down. On many long distance trails nowadays we see a pub sign on the OS map only to find it long gone and turned into private housing.

It's another sign that our old England is not what it was.

Bill

http://www.walksintameside.co.ukBill Murneyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03936292162705335644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1030307825878445428.post-2964803399324435042012-12-02T21:37:41.773+00:002012-12-02T21:37:41.773+00:00Thanks Martin,Autumn walks on bright sunny days ar...Thanks Martin,
Autumn walks on bright sunny days are indeed a joy! I'm glad you enjoyed this walk and my pix!
